Piano Service Experience

I have 40 years of experience tuning and repairing all major brands of pianos. At 16, I began an apprenticeship tuning, repairing, and rebuilding pianos at the local Steinway franchise. (Tusting Piano Co. Asbury Park NJ) From there I worked for the local Yamaha piano dealer as a road tuner/furniture touch-up tech. I then worked part time for (NJ piano Co. in Edison NJ), while starting my own tuning/rebuilding shop.

Currently and for the last 25 yrs I have been the piano tuner/technician for the “PNC ARTS CENTER” in Holmdel N.J. This is an account that requires a technician’s skill level to be at the very top of his class or he will not have it long. I have tuned for hundreds of famous artists over the years, from the Allman Brothers, Boston Pops to Frank Sinatra, Ringo Starr, James Taylor and Neil Young.

I haven’t seen everything, but after 40yrs. in the trade I have seen a lot! I have worked on all models of Steinway, Mason & Hamlin, Yamaha, Baldwin and Kawai/Boston pianos, and on probably every other brand of piano out there, good and bad.

Over the years I have also restored, repaired and refinished hundreds of pianos of all types. I would be happy to bring this experience to you and service/restore your piano to make it as wonderful as it can be. As a hobby I am involved with restoring model T fords and am very interested in old electric guitars and amplifiers too.
